Heater cluster not working
 

Good evening,

I've researched all threads and still cannot find a answer.

​​​​​​we bought a 92 sc400 which did not come with a a/c and or stereo.

We've got a unit for a 96 sc400 and everything plugs right in but the a/c doesn't turn on. No back light nothing. The stereo also doesn't play any sound.

We've checked all fuses and they're great. Grounds are good, no shorted wires.

Is there a wire I can splice into or a way to bypass?

I think the heater control unit is different for the 92, you will need to get the correct unit for it to work. You should however, get power to the unit once it plugs in unless it is not working. Probe the AC and stereo harnesses with a DMM or 12volt tester to see if you are getting power to the unit. If not you have a blown fuses or disconnected harnesses.

White backed units and black backed units are not compatible.
