Default I love SCs.

Guys, I'm pretty sure you all know this since you own an SC.
But I have to tell you "SC is one pretty, pretty, very pretty car."
Tonight I was sitting with my friends at a Starbucks enjoying
the weather, having a conversation. And then I saw an SC400
on 20' Dronnels. The car was dropped, windows tinted, and it
had some Tanabe mufflers (I believe it was Tanabe, not sure).
And it was burgundy, I never knew that chrome looked so good
with burgundy. Man, let me tell you, I was in another world for
a while. I was like, "Da*n, this is nice." My coffee and the Starbucks
did not even exist. All I could think was, "Wow." So ladies and
gentlemen, the point of this whole post is me telling you what
a nice car you've got and how lucky you are to drive it. I love
those SCs.

What part of CT where you in? I hope my CA-05s dont start popping up all over the place now!

BTW- I think they are the most timeless design (after the 1st Gen GS of course ) That Lexus has ever produced. The 97 update makes them look so fresh and so clean!!

I live in Connecticut too. But I've never seen a cleanly tuned SC. Either they're stock or they have bad wheels. And there are rarely any 97+ models. By the way there is a 2000 SC 300 at Hoffman Lexus in East Hartford and it has been sitting there for months. What's with that? I would think it would be gone sooner.

It's still there, because it is a hell of a lot of money for a car that is almost identical to a '92 SC. Sure, there were slight upgrades from 92-2000, but I think people would rather spend that kind of money on a car that looks like they spent that kind of money... AKA, 2nd Gen GS300/400.

DGOT20s, what's up man.
I was in Greenwich, CT and I believe that's the only place I've seen Dronnels at.
So you don't have much to worry about, bro.

blacksc4,
You have a great point. Nowadays, people are more conserned with status and
what others will think of them (hense, the newer the car - the more money they've
got in the eyes of others). And then there are us - the true car lovers. LOL

Nothing wrong with a '92 Sc. If it were most other cars that were a '92 with 200k on it it most likely would not be the object of desire sitting next to the SC. I can only think of a (very) few 92's i'd want if i sold this... and they cost 50k and up So, i'll keep my sc.

Even the Bimmers fall apart at 200k, the jags are already on their 8th rebuild and the mercedes usually start structural problems in the 150's .

I'll buy a '92 sc before the majority of 2k models out there. by 2003 a 2k model car has over 50k on it and still doesnt run as well or do anything like an Sc does.

Thanks for coming over and sharing your experience, i know i personally appreciate your comments and enthusiasm towards our Super Coupe's. Buy an Sc!!

Default LOVE my 92 SC300

I have a Black 92 SC300 5-Speed witrh only 85000 miles on it. Its in mint condition. Just finished detailing it for the summer. Love it. I am getting ready to post pictures on the site once my new set of WORK TERMIST 17 chrome wheels arrive.

yeah it is truly amazing cause when i tell them that its just starting to get broken in....and that there are some that have 300,000 to 500,000 miles on them then they kinda understand...
