Default Just bought another one :D

She’s nowhere near looks perfect, but she definitely drives like it!!
just picked her up last night, 97 black on black sc300, 204k on the clock, needs a good scrub, detail, and tlc. It was sellers fathers car who passed away earlier, son was selling the car because couldn’t drive it with a busted rear windshield, and that’s where I came in to rescue and takeover .
not that I don’t have my hands full with 400, but this may be the car I’ll be dropping my2j na/t
since it’s a plug and play for most part, and once I get the red car done it’s going to be for sale.
here are some shots from offer up, and after I was up till 2 am last night cleaning the glass and glue off from duck tape, vacuuming, next is engine bay
here are some horrible pics of it!!
To my surprise it’s a rust free car, with underbody coating verywhere and it has a small tow package I’m leaving that baby on , and he hooked me up with a nearly new 4 blizzaks and a car cover I love it!! This was a less thank a 1k$ purchase
You meet good people sometimes and great deals too!!!

That's a very good find, should not take much to get her right. Nice clean black interior.

Talking

Thanks guys!!
It was a long day cleaning some glass out of the garage and the car, I still have to pull the back seat out and wipe down behind it and vaccum under the bottom of the seat.
My Brother Lexman told me about the car that popped up on offerup, after looking at it I had to
act quick, because these cars don’t last long at at pice around here, I’m thankful for him and to
him for being able to get it, he has a donor rear glass for me, what a brother I have!!!!!
Love you bro if you reading this!!!!

I also did end up kind of temporarily degreasing the engine bay with water and dawn dish soap deluted, because I just can’t stand dirty *** bays it’s hard to work or see what’s where, then went to Autozone and picked up some 5w30, and a serpentine belt, did oil change and installed a land cruiser filter on it because it’s a little bigger and i had some available. Wanted to take off the rusted exhaust and swap it with my sc400 one they look to be bolting up in the same location, but it was raining and I had my Kids to entertain

after their bed time Daddy went back to the garage and installed the new belt now I’m tired good nitio!!!

use lighter fluid to get the tape residue off. I work at a computer repair shop and i constantly deal with adhesives when dealing with screen repair on laptops, it will get the job done without damaging the paint. just make sure to wash it off after youre done so it doesnt stay on the paint. Other than that looks like a great deal. Id kill for that black interior. Once i got a little money saved up ill be looking for a donor car with a black interior to swap into mine. Cheers and keep us posted.

P.S. Is that a bosh air filter?

Great find. Always good to see an SC being "rescued" and made road worthy again to keep these going.... We all like to see members like you saving these "puppies" ...

Thanks for sharing....
