Where are the sunroof drains
Question, where are the sunroof drain outlets on a 1992 SC400. The drains are clogged, and I've run weed whacker line from the sunroof down but ran into an obstruction. I'd like to run the line from the outlets up but I don't know where the outlets are. It's my friends car ,and I'm not very familiar with the this Lexus model.
Thanks in advance

I believe its directly infront of the rear tires. If you open your trunk and go down along the sides you will see the 3/8" or so sized drain tube on each side going through/into air baffles that vent the trunk/cabin pressure.

Where are the sunroof drains
Thanks. I pulled the skirts in the trunk and found it. However, I can't get a stiff wire to go all the way from top to bottom either working from the top or bottom. Do these tubes connect to a T in the pillar where other drain tubes connect also? Didn't want to be too forceful and mess up something.

Just another suggestion is buying a length of small cable (make sure it is long enough to go all the way through) wrap the ends with electrical tape so the cable will not damage the inside of your drain tubes. This has worked for me for thirty years. Good luck.

Lexus Champion
Diagram only shows 2 drain hoses, which I find odd

Anyway proper way to clear them out is get a tube that fits into the factory tube and use compressed air.

The problem with compressed air is you take a chance on dislodging the drain tube and then you are up that famous creek.

The reason I recommend the small cable is it has more substance (stiffness even though it is very flexible) and if you have a drain tube that is really clogged it will do a much better job of clearing the drain tube than the plastic from a Weed Wacker. Just speaking from my experience.
