Cool SEM Classic Coat 17293 is a Perfect Match (Toyota Ivory) just an FYI

as the title says. I used SEM 17293 ("toyota ivory" in their Classic Coat line) on my seats and its a dead on match. I saw other posts where some of the members were using a beige shade from the SEM Color Coat line and it was lighter.

carpet was dyed with a different product and those horrendous floor mats are temporary lol

nice I may use it for other interior parts now

The only thing I don't like about SEM it seems to make the leather not soft anymore

Oh wow, that's nice.

I read somewhere they changed the color on certain years? I think maybe after 97, went a slight shade darker. Can anyone confirm this?

mine is a 92- the seats still feel nice and are plenty plush and flexible IMO.

If you use water based dye instead of alcohol based, it doesnt stiffen the leather. What product did you use for the carpet. I am considering going from beige to black interior since i have to replace a lot of the panels in the car due to them being cracked/worn/broken so i figured might as well change color while im at it, buy the panels that i need in black and dye the rest. Also is there any way to dye the headliner without the glue coming off or does it just have to be rewraped/replaced?

i used a local companies product to dye the carpet. brand called Technicians Choice from a company in elmhurst IL. cant remember the product # but it was simply called Beige. Ran me about $6.24 a can. I used 4.

not sure about the headliner though. havent really paid any attention to it

I’m trying to figure out what we are talking about. The lower part of the seat going up is lighter than the top and the base of the seat is much darker than all of it. Where are we talking about?

Pro tip on matching colors - take a pic of it if you want to know how good anything matches. The camera only shoots in 1 dimension so it doesn’t account for the light our eyes do. I’ve found several things i thought matched ok until i took a pic of it and found out different. Our eyes lie to us, the camera doesn’t.
