Default Suggestions for my SC300?

Hey guys I have a 1995 SC300. I've always been interested in adding some things to it and making it somewhat of a showcar. I want to adjust the fitment, lower it, and just make it look clean and maybe turn some heads. What kind of suggestions do you guys have?

Agreed. In most cases, the more stock, the better.

The exterior looks good. I'd say start with the suspension with brand new bushings all around. While you're doing that, change up the engine seals and all the fluids if you haven't done so already. Next up would be the interior with some brand new leather.. etc...

Swap out the front bumper, tail lights, and headlights to 1997+ (or whenever they made the facelift), add a front lip, lower the car with coils, and add exhaust with good set of wheels. There you go, a street show car.

P.S., wax and polish the car too.

^ I'd ditch the black wheels and roof spoiler, they aren't doing you any favors IMO. Also take some more pics of it when its nice out and all cleaned up.

What color are the emblems?? I had gold ones on my white SC300, hated them. Changed them all to chrome. You can get new OEM in box emblems on ebay or at your dealer for less than you'd think.

I like newer lexus rims and coilovers to keep a very clean stock look.

That's where i went with mine, then turbo.

There are a lot of options and paths to take..... My "journey" is over 5 years in the making and all of the reading, suggestions, research, and finally deciding what to do each step of the way have been loads of fun.... (the 5 years started when I decided to take our '92 SC300 down the mod/fix path...)

There are no "wrong" decisions - take the car where you want and can afford to do.....

We like lots and lots of pictures along the way so keep that in mind.... Have a tough skin, though, as our brethren are fairly opinionated and passionate so expect debate....

Good luck... Welcome....

For safety purposes I think a simple 4200K or 4300K plug and play HID kit is always a good idea. The SC's stock lighting is a bit dim despite being an early xenon halogen projector system.

^^ Thank you for the correction, Aron9000!

These cars, at least in the USA, had halogen projectors from the factory. But yes, I do agree with your notion of upgrading the lighting, as the stock low beams in my SC300 do leave a bit to be desired.

Thanks for pointing out my mistake, Aron! I goofed there. Yes, we have halogen low beam projectors. I'm not aware of the Canadian or Japanese models being any different in that regard. They're just a bit too dim by today's standards. Better projector systems can be added but the stock projector lenses take to a PnP HID kit pretty well (although you'd want a decent kit from a company that has a working phone number).
