It is a 95 sc300 with 300k miles, fair condition. No rips in interior, no rips in exterior. no mechanical issues I know of.

AC/Heater works, Steering tilt works, Sun roof works, clean title on hand. New clutch and flywheel. See comments for pictures

It says "2 service history records" on CarFax, but that's all I know. Recently replaced clutch master cylinder, clutch, flywheel, pressure plate and had a transmission oil change.

Got a ballpark for me?

So it's an original manual car, then? They go for more than automatic models at any mileage (unless they are trashed). With the car being in decent shape inside and out for the mileage I would also want to see maintenance records. By 300K and being a Cali-Spec car (I assume it is) it must have had its standard major maintenances and several fixes along the way but without records or the owner listing off what he says he has done there is no way to know.

For what it's worth I paid $5k for my '93 SC300 M/T Cali-Spec in stock condition and 189K miles with a couple of issues (bad brake master cyl, bad booster and worn out clutch) and some light cosmetic issues inside. I probably could/should have talked down the price a bit but I'd been worn out looking for cars at the time and it wasn't an excessive price. There were also no physical service records for me to verify... so I just began doing the major services one by one.

Price ranges for original manual SC300's 1992-1996 in stock condition with decent upkeep range from $4k/$4.5k to $6.5k depending on the year, mileage, physical condition and mechanical condition/maintenance. Ragged examples I've seen for $3k-$3.5k in the past.

Carfax is good but probably best for making sure the car has a clean title, unremarkable owner history and no prior accidents.

For service records you can also take the Lexus VIN and get all the dealer service records attributed to that car checked for you. The records go back as far as original delivery to the first owner and as far as the car was last taken into a Lexus dealer for service.

Also, a little known fact is that you can also register a Lexus chassis VIN that you own on Lexus' own website under the "owners" section and not only look up all those service records yourself but also add your own with some maximum character limits and service category/description limitations. Anyway, you could ask a local Lexus dealer if they can verify any of the major maintenance work (timing belt, etc) having been done less than 60k miles ago.

Also, at 300K miles I'd hope the OEM harmonic balancer has been replaced with a new one. They last a really long time but by then should have been done.

Assuming the interior and exterior is in great shape , let's say at least 8 / 10 , I will only pay $2500 just because 300k miles is a lot of miles for every part in that car especially without maintenance records, not knowing what all had been replaced..But it is worth the $2500 for the shell and interior if in good shape just because it is an original SC300 5speed.

And another reason why I gave that ballpark figure -> there are two 5speeds SC300 now here in GA being sold for around that price with a lot less mileage .

Let's say , just the drive train (engine / trans) need to be replaced soon .. if you are not doing that job , that can easily cost you +$3000 (labor and materials) and that will bring the cost of the car to $5500 which you will find hard to sell at that price .

I personally would never give what some are suggesting on here but more of a personal preference. Just for reference, I have bought 2 manuals, a 92 and a 93 both under 200,000 mi for under $2,000/ea. One was a little rough, the other had 2nd gear missing (which a year later I am still driving that way). The one with 2nd gear issues I gave $1,000 for. You have already said the interior is ok so that makes it worth a little more. What would determine more than that is what of the expensive repairs these cars need has been done? If control arms are shot that makes the value come down, if all are in good shape maybe more. A/C work? Might swing a little. But, all that said if you want one of these and it is local and in good shape why worry about a few hundred $? If you like it buy it.

That interior is very clean for 300,000 miles, if thats original then the previous owners took very good care of it, which I would take as a comforting sign.
mine has half the mileage with a worse interior. Most of these in that mileage range look thrashed.
Just hope the mechanics where maintained as well as that interior

I got a 94 300k miles sc300 with a stock w58 for $1350 at auction. The head gasket was blown and to make everything works fine I rebuild the long bock which cost me like $2500 for parts and the valve job. The car also needs to be painted. So I am expecting $5500 for total.

Wow it looks really clean. He clearly took care of it. $3,000 is the max I'd go on it, but negotiate the best you can. I've seen an SC with 600,000 miles on it. These cars will last forever if maintained properly. If you're unsure, take it to a mechanic and get a few tests done on it to make sure it's up to par. It's never a bad investment to let a good mechanic go over the car for you.

i wouldn't go more than 2500 and i'd shoot for 2000, I got my 93 5 speed 150k with a spun bearing for 1000 otherwise great condition 1 driver seat tear. fixed the engine for less than 500 myself with timing belt waterpump included.

It's whatever you are willing to pay for it. Period. Any car over 10 years really doesn't have a book value because the condition can vary so wildly.
