Default front seats

Headroon is one of the few things that might make me sell my 97 SC400 before its time. At a shade under 6'3", my head is just about resting on the headliner with the seat reclined a wee bit more than I would actually like (I actually have more headroom in my 'vette). Does anyone know of replacement seats (or some other way) that would get me another inch and a half?

Mark IV supra seats are bolt in and lower your butt by about an inch. TRD seats (special order from Japan) are supposed to be the same hight as the Supra seats.

You should be able to get supra seats for about $500. Try supra forums, partstrader or supra store (all are .com)

I'm 6'2" and fit in the car (with sun roof) wearing a helmet

Thanks. That's much better than I expected. I would have expected them to be multiple thousands of dollars, causing me to bag hte idea until the car's current seats were out completely.

Are they electric? (Or perhaps they attach to the existing electric system)?

how much of a weight reduction could one expect by swapping out the two front (non heated) seats from an sc4 with supra seats? and are any 93+ supra seats bolt-on swappable with any 92+ sc? both 300 and 400? ive got a 96 sc4 without heated seats, if anybody has done the supra seat swap in this car please let me know, im VERY interested

Driver's seat is electric passenger 's is not. It's a minor hack to hook up the power, but i've yet to figure out how to get the seatbelt warning light to go off.

Weight saving is ~15 lbs drivers and ~30 passenger

I think all years for the SC and Mark IV I have '95 seats in my '96

Keep looking and be patient. They show up all the time on supraforums.com
