Default Clearing Sidemarkers How to

I just cleared my sidemarkers and wanted to share with everyone giving a detailed how to.

First thing is first, get the suckers out.

This is how I did it, jack up the car, take the front tire off, find about 4 screws where the liner meets... unscrew them, and peal it a bit so you have access to the sidemarkers. Take a peek with flash light, feel around, need a 8mm wrench, just loosen both, hand unscrew... pray don't fall There are two bolts. Take out sidemarker.

Some people say you can access the sidemarkers by taking out the fogs... dunno how to do that.

Clearing side markers, tools I used:
hammer
heat gun
glue gun
dremmel
wire cutter

Material needed: Go to home depot, buy a panel that they use for sheilding florecent tubes (ran me 5 bucks canadian)

The thing with this is that you won't get it perfect, and if you are like me you will break things, no big deal. Good thing is you can redo it later, which I will do, to make it more perfect... looks great so far... just need perfect-er.

I tried to heat up the amber and rip it off, no good, melted the housing, someone told me to just crack it, they are right... take a screw drive and crack the thing... if you want you can dremel the whold amber off. Careful not to break the housing. Break a bit more using wire cutters, and then dremel the rest off... till you have no more amber. Take sisors cut a rectangle out of the plastic sheeting, just a bit bigger than the side marker... glue gun lightly around the edge and glue together the two pieces. Take the dremel and etch away at the sheet until it is perfect size... reason for heat gun is to remelt the glue gun and press together to bond it better. One reason I used glue gun as well is if I want to redo it I can just heat it up and take the lense off. Should hold up in the summer I think. After that install it up! I used little wedge bulbs I got, made by tucan called eurolites, I just used hyperwhite, but you can get green blue red purple whatever. Hope this helps, I got lots of the info from clublexus, but none did a step by step. Any feedback on my steps is good, if I did something wrong or did something the long way please let us know.

Enjoy! I would sya the SC really deserves clear sidemarkers, I didn't think I would like it that much, but I love the new look.

Cheers
