Default Water in floorboard

Hello, I have a 1992 sc400 and every time it rains the passenger rear floorboard gets wet. It seems to me as if it is coming through the a/c vent under the seat. Does anyone know how it's getting in to that vent.

Check your rubber seals around the door frame....

Are you talking about the duct directly under the passenger seat, which I believe (but haven't tested to be sure) is return air? That's sort of a low point, so it could be coming from nearby areas. I would guess a clogged moon roof drain, but it could be something as crazy as one of the grommets under the carpet being out and allowing water to spray up from the road.

Run a hose on your windshield and around your roof and sunroof. Mine turned out to be the windshield. The sealing around it after so many years (also a 92) cracked and allowed water to get in. Check this before you tear apart your headliner and interior, cause it's annoying to put back together.

Your sunroof drains are probably clogged up too . Get a air hose and blow out the drains. They usually fill up with dirt. Retract the sunroof all the way back and check the corners with a flash light. You should see the holes

Sunroof drains get clogged and the water pours in from the headliner area. Sometimes if the water sits too long, it can rust a hole. Then you'll have two issues instead of one. Run compressed air down the sunroof drains are you'll be fine.
