This is Mik'kel's design. APT would be making their own design. Also, that pic posted of the bumper cut out is for prototyping their VERTEX bumper. There is currently no work being done on the spindle yet.

He's still working on it, by mid summer it may be done and we might get to see the finished product.

Loosing the high beams is a pretty big sacrifice....but it may the only way it would look right...

The spindle would have to go to the top of the bumper....to the point where it gets to the hood...i.e follow the lines on hood

The early gen bumper would be best to start with....i.e 92-96......since it already kinda has the upper shape of the spindle already in the bumper.

Here is a shot of next to RCF to get you an idea......

Man, as crafty as u guys r, I'm sure u can come up with a way to save the hi-beams (some how, incorporating them into the bumper/grill).

They wouldn't be able to be saved as they are. A new high beam design would have to be incorporated (or OEM from a different car but that increases cost to the end user as they would need to buy the part)

hide high beams under the upper grill portion to keep foglamps or lose the fog lamps and make those your "high beams" at this point you pocket enough money for proper headlights with great projector vision...

im very interested.

I agree. As for cost, like others I've dumped a lot of money into my car and will continue as I see things I like and as ideas come about.

Agreed. It's too pinched otherwise and makes it look like an add-on, not an incorporated design.

The lines are already present on the SC's front bumper, come to think of it's one of the few early Lexus vehicles that have those lines which can be see with a grille and not look bad.

1 min photoshop, sorry.

IMO the SC has too long/flat of a profile to look correct with that type of grill. It's like trying to imagine the LFA with that.

Just my $0.02....

Definitely intriguing but I am just now getting the APTech AC bumper installed and now they are making a Vertex version and now a push for a "spindle grill" model???

I am very happy that APTech has decided to provide options for our cars and with their superior engineering and materials they use we will all benefit. Not sure what the volume they need to invest in the design work and building the molds to make these creations.
