Control arms
So my steering wheel is extremely loose when i turn it, I took it to a mechanic for something else and he mentioned that I needed to change my control arms. Does that usually mean its the upper control arms or lower?

Guess you would need to ask him which ones he meant. Bottom ones bear the most load & also are the most expensive, but mk 4 supra arms will fit & are supposed to cost less. Upper arms don't cost near as much & dormans seem to be the cheapest.

Most likely it is you lower control arms either the ball joint or bushings are bad. Did your mechanic also looked at you tie rods ends and sway bar bushing? these can contribute to sloppy handling as well.
As mentioned above you can replace them with Supra controls arm which are cheaper then the Lexus units. No after market LCA except for Megans, FIGS and battle version.

You can shop around online and with your local Toyota Dealers for the 93-96 Toyota Supra lower control arms. They are between $250-$300 each and are a direct bolt on for the SCX00. The OEM Lexus units are about $600 each.
P/N's are 4806814080, 4806914080. I have a brand new driver side LCA listed in the FS section here.
