Bodykit material
What is FRP.... is it material that the stock bumpers are made of? cuz it would be nice to have a kit made out of the stock stuff since i've scratched the bottom and stuff and it hasn't broke.

FRP - Fiber Reinforced Plastic
I saw this kit several months ago (they have a very annoying sound track that plays on one of their links! Hehehe) and it looked very interesting. Definitely a JIC-Magic/AMC knock-off. The price is around $1100 or so and from the looks of it, it looks more flexable than urethane....but much like urethane, the problem isn't so much the "give" (even standard fiberglass gives a little), but it's the fact that if you hit anything significant where it "bends" the bumper or whatnot, the paint is going to either fly off or spider crack...either way, you'll have to have a body shop repaint it. So what's the difference between doing that and having them fix a crack or whatnot and then having to paint it?
So far, I've scraped the front bumper on my kit several times (none really hard...just going up and down driveways) and the JIC bumper hasn't had any damage (under than scraped paint but it's under the bumper so you can't see it.) I also hit a piece of a truck tire fragment on the freeway at like 50MPH (traffic) and all it did was leave a nasty black streak on my bumper that I buffed out with rubbing compound (and then waxed...always wax after you use rubbing compound) You can't even tell anything happen.
Dew, are you going to get this kit? It'd be interesting to get a review on it (in English
