With more of a drop the wheels would have looked great but, the anni wheels from the 350Z are also proven sexy, so you made a fair choice. Any plans for the motor or just working on the aesthetics at the moment?

Thats why they're kids. They don't have the pockets that these cars require to do things right.

Kids is more a mind state and lack of experience than age. I'm 28. i'm cleaning up the mess of a 25yo, he was a kid.

Looks like your off to a good start. I would open your ECU to see if there is any leaky capacitors.

You sir are doing a great job, I can relate amazing what people start or do half way. Regardless of what the real shortfall was help is always available.
My car was left stored with brown dirt and moisture for years and of course rust start but your car was cleaner than mine and on the way to looking sexy again.
I had 6 plugs one kind , two plugs another brand and 6 broken plug cables plus one of the coils leads was pinched and then he wondered why the car would not run right...

Dope build, but why call it a poor man's supra?
