FYI, There Is A Polyurethane AC/Shine Bumper Now.
Hi,
I saw a poly version of the AC/Shine bumper :eek2:. There are so many people with broken fiberglass Shine bumpers. The Poly should be useful. There is a limited lifetime warranty as well. I am going to call them for clarity on it. I think it's 30 days with 25% restocking fee. I just need to see a review on the fitment. This is for education purposes only for right now. Let's try to find some reviews. It is just $479 on eBay. http://www.kbdbodykits.com/lexus-sc3...per-p-903.html |

Oooh, I like what I see here. Might actually bite the bullet on this.

Great price and great alternative to finding an OEM 97+ bumper too for those who like those with a lip. Ran this kit on my SC, but couldn't stop cracking the lip. Would've love to have had this back then.

I'm sold, but I can't seem to find it for $479. Anyone know how the fittment is?

OK, I just talked to a rep from the company on Facebook. He said they won't be ready until December/January. He said they just did the mold over with modifications so it should be perfect when done. I will keep everyone posted and try to strike up a deal of some sort with a fitment guarantee.
|
He said he would waive the restocking fees and return shipping waived if there is a fitment issue.
They even accept paypal so all purchases will be protected through there as well. |
I can vouch for KBD products...great fitment and durability. I bought their 350Z Nismo bumper for my daily 07 Z a month ago. Love it and the urethane is pretty thick. I'm like 2-2.5 inches off the floor with my Z and it's still in tact. You make the holes as well but the bumpers come pre-marked for you to make holes :) Hope this helps

This is the fitment on the BMW bumper recently made.

Would they be doing an entire kit, or just the front? Not that the rear and sides would be a problem from Shine. Just wondering.
|
As of right now it's the front but that all depends on if you guys actually buy. You know how it goes...a lot of window shoppers nowadays. I'm trying to get them to make a lip similar to this as well in full urethane.
