Default Another bites the dust

Just acquired my 4th sc on sunday, this being a 96 model 400. Car runs amazing and exterior is quite decent but never had experienced this issue

.... issue that has my head spinning is that the damn climate control + cig lighter wont turn on, i've tried absolutely everything that has been discussed on here and other forums but all fuses work, no coin on lighter, etc.

One thing i noticed is that upon removing the climate control unit, to the very far right there is some sort of connection and i dont know what it is, nor could i find the pertaining plug for it.

I've spent a good deal of the day trying to figure this out with no such luck. I've posted some pics and would greatly appreciate any further input

Regards

Connection with missing plug

Cig lighter

Center console and cc/radio out

If you're talking about that blue plug, that is your cigarette lighter plug. Dig around behind the headunit and you should find the other side.

I'm sure the broken/missing plug is part of the air control problem. It's gotta be back there somewhere. As for the cig lighter, mine was out of sorts as well. Turned out to be a poor ground on the light its self.

The blue plug for the cig lighter is there, the missing plug i referred to is the one on the first pic showing the climate control, to the far right. There are 3 white plugs next to one another, then theres a seperate connection on the far right...thats the missing plug

I believe this to be the issue, i searched endlessly for it and no such luck. I'll take the center console apart again and dig a little deeper. Sucks to not have heat. I should also note that the temp does not show on the cluster and time displays but cannot be adjusted

Still trying to figure out this problem

Does anyone know if it could be a bad ground? I realized the stock amp has been removed and the cd changer isn't hooked up

the first pic, the missing plug conundrum... you'll never find it because it doesn't exist. Notice there was tape covering that from the factory, it is now missing. This is NOT related to your problem, 100%.

Maybe grounds, but I'd go back and look at those fuses again, maybe with a tester, or locate the grounds for the circuits invol;ved

Thanks Vrank, now aside from the 15 amp cig fuse under the kick panel, what other fuse(s) should I look into and what grounds are related to the CC?

Have re-checked all fuses and all are good. Took off center console again, re-checked for coin in the cig plug, borrowed another cc unit from a friends 95 sc400 and still no luck
