About stand-alone ECU's......

Hey guys, first post on here, thanks for your support. I appreciate it......

I'm building my SC300 and need some assistance in picking the correct ECU for what I have. I've worked on 2JZ's, but never built one ground up, although I've built many other cars. My issue is I'm not 100% fimiliar on which ECU's work with the JDM engine/trans setup. It's an aristo 2JZ-GTE (Non-VVTI), stock ECU, going in next week is a single 76mm turbo, upgraded injectors, piping, fuel pump etc...... What brand of ECU are you guys using, and how in-depth is your guys tuning software with it?

Choose your tuner first. Discuss your ECU choice with your tuner of choice.

What's your budget?

I am intrigued by PROEFI, AEM, ECUMASTERS, WOLF, MEGASQUIRT3 right now..

If you are staying at or under 500hp just use the stock ECU and an SAFC. Otherwise I definitely agree with asking the tuner what they are good at. If you are hoping for over 500HP and are hands on then I'd recommend megasquirt all day. By far the best bang for your buck. If you want something widely used with a ton of support then maybe AEM or a ProEFI, all the big power Supra guys usually go for those.

That was the only post OP ever made in 5 years. So there won't be any updates
