So im struggling to find substantial grounding points in my 96 sc400. Is there supposed to be a factory grounding point or spot that doesnt require drilling my sub amp is stuck in constant protection because it cant ground

I have a good ground on the left side, next to the gas tank, on the inner wheel well. There was already a hole there for whatever reason and I sanded the paint down and bolted it down. Been fine for years.

You can also find places behind the rear bumper that wouldn't hurt to get drilled. Just make sure you have a clear view, that way you don't drill through the exterior of the car. That, or what he ^ said sounds good. The sanding is the important part though.
