are my seats always heating?
so when summer comes around, my seats feel like they're always being heated! the entire interior of the car is fine but the seats are unbearable, i have to sit up and let some air go on my back to cool down. i dont even want heated seats and i looked underneath and there's only one plug which i'm guessing controls the movement and the heat. is there a way to make sure the seats are for sure not being heated (besides getting aftermarket seats, i'm working on that). idc what it takes, cut wires, remove fuses, anything?

if you can disconnect the plug from the bottom that will do it.then if the seat feels normal you can remove the seat and disconnect the plug for the heat control.
you can also check the seat heat switch which may be the problem.

does anyone elses seat, not using AC, feel really hot? could it just be the thick leather keeping all my body heat and multiplying it? it just seems so hot i have no idea how it could be from my body heat.

I don't have heated seats, but my seats never feel hot relative to the rest of the cabin. Even when troubleshooting the extreme cabin heat (on the wrong side of 150°), the leather was never uncomfortably warm. I would actually consider the leather used on these cars to be pretty thin.
If you unbolt and tip the seat up, I think you can disconnect the two orange plugs for the heaters. I'm not 100% positive, but I recall them being accessible without tearing into the seat.

Yes - There is an issue with unwanted seat heating. Here is an image of my 2015 IS 350 F-Sport with the seat heaters OFF and A/C on. Lexus says this isn't happening, but there is this...

I think the hot seats has to do with the fact all the wind that comes into the car goes into the back and doesn't really hit the driver or seat.
All my other cars you can get a cross breeze going with the rear windows.
