what have you done to your SC400 engines?
hello to all the SC forum people i own a 1990 Lexus LS 400 and i am not sure which year SC400 is the identical to the one that i have. but, could you tell me what modifications you have done, or the aftermarket parts that are out there? i want to keep the original 4.0 engine and build the engine without forced induction. any help would be much appreciated. thanks

Hi alex. i have read much debate about this and that, but i believe the best overall mod within reason is simply to open up the exaust into a nice dual system that flows well. intakes and airboxes help a tiny bit, but it seems from just what i have read the exaust makes the biggest overall difference due to the terrible choking that goes on with the stock exaust system.

hey thanks for the info onelasttry but i would like to know if there are performance products besides a torque convertor such as camshafts, upgradeable ignition system, and other modifications. more like internal engine modifications.

ok, well i know there was a user here that goes by voeltz that has an aftermarket ignition system, but he hated it. you can p.m. him for some experienced views on ignition mods for a start.
