Question cargo net

Anyone have one of these in their SC? I have never seen one in an SC, nor can I imagine where it will mount. Also, for those who may have the net, does it do any good/ serve any purpose? Heres the link to the item I'm talking about:

I have considered getting one from time to time. My Uncle has a infinity that came with one and it does a great job of holding his groceries, umbrella, cleaning supplies, and other things from sliding around in his trunk and smacking his cd changer. I intend to get one eventually.

It places by the taillights and goes across from one end to the other. I put all my cleaning supplies, umbrella and portable charger in it.. I find it very useful..

Thumbs up Welcome to Clublexus!

Could not help but notice that was your first post- welcome aboard and thanks for the pic. What's that object at the far end of the pic? Toolbag? First aid kit? I don't have anything in that area, since mine is a '92. Where in CA are you?

That's what I was going to say too! Has anyone replaced this side piece in the trunk? My first aid kit in my door is taking up too much room!

Thanks for the welcome, I have been reading the forum for sometime now and finally decided to make my first post.

The bag at the end is a Lexus First Aid kit that came with the car.

I am in the Bay Area (Sunnyvale).

Someone who has the net.....please post up close up pics of the attachment points.

I have a net from a parts cache I bought a few years ago. The guy threw in the hardware but I can not figure out were exactly the hooks should mount up.

Thanks.

Is there a Toyota/Lexus part # for the hooks?

I've had one for a while, but have yet to actually use it. I leave it clipped to one side, tucked out of the way, easy to extend over and hook up if needed. It's sort of awkward, sticking out into the main space of the trunk due to the rear curvature. I could see it being useful if traveling, though.

If you're looking for them, the SC430 net supersedes the discontinued SC300/400 one. I thought for sure the cross-listing was wrong when I received it, but it does indeed stretch far enough to meet the mounting points. That's also partly why I leave one side disconnected, though. It has to stretch so much to reach, it seems like the elastic will wear out prematurely if left up all the time.

^ It's sold as part of the kit and may or may not have its own part #.
