My kit came with a 15k ohm resistor. (Supraformance.com)

Oddly enough, on my 92 SC300, I apparently don't have an EGR temperature sensor... Can this be?

Am I not looking hard enough?

Scott & Gixer, I used the 10k value from MKIV.com's tech section. The values from the service manual are as follows:

Resistance: 69 - 89 Kohms at 50C (112 F)
12 - 15 K at 100C (212 F)
2 - 4 K at 150C (302 F)

I ordered my blockoff plates from MVP Motorsports...got the plates with no resistor. There is a wide temp range there, a 10k resistor should work and a 15k might work better. I really dont have a clue because I am also not able to find the temp sensor on my car. Been looking for awhile.while looking for a spot for the temp sensor for my VPC. The manual says that they are on the US spec vehicles...but I cant find it.
Hope this helps.

The GTE plates fit my GE with very little extra work. I think I bored out one of the holes a smidgen, perhaps a few mm. It was NOT difficult at all. I've got the ports blocked off now, but the car is still being assembled. As far as the vacuum lines that lead to the valve body and EGR valve itself, I'm assuming that you just block the lines at the throttle body. Anyone have an easy way to block these on the throttle body? I also don't have an EGR temperature sensor, (1992 US spec) so I can't install that resistor (as far as I know).

well, i can tell you that my 93 does have a EGR temp sensor, because it keeps tripping the check engine light. The first time we scanned it, it said it was o2 sensor. But the last 3 times weve scanned it(over a 2 month period), i get a EGR temp. sensor error. And not to mention ive actually seen it on my car, but maybe the 92 is different, but i wouldnt think so.

The GTE plates fit my GE with very little extra work. I think I bored out one of the holes a smidgen, perhaps a few mm. It was NOT difficult at all.
did you have to do this to make it work ? or did you do it just so it would fit better ?

Thanks
