Default 96 SC400 - took it to have it detailed, now a light in the instrument cluster is out

I took my 96 SC400 to have it detailed, and now a light is out on the instrument cluster (around the 3K mark on the tach). (I dropped it off working fine, picked it up broken)

Is this just a random coincidence?

Regardless, does any know what I'm looking at ? (light bulb replacement, cluster replacement etc)

Probably random, I doubt they took the gauge cluster out to detail the interior.
Most people replace the cluster bulbs with LED's, but some soldering is required. You can search "gauge cluster repair" on here and probably find a million and one threads about it. Tanin Auto also does cluster repair as well.

Before you take anything apart try giving the top of the dash a few good smacks. Worked for me along with a few other members..

And the Fonz was right. One smack and it's back to normal.

No surprise here. I'm one of those people who has to do so from time to time for a problematic bulb.

Knock, knock...

Who's there?

Lexus SC400 Gauge Repairman

I "knocked on the door" a couple raps where the trip odometer buttons are.

Worked like a charm.
