Anybody know the stock projector lens diameter of an SC?

2.5", tsx projector lenses are the best if you are going to replace the projector lenses.

I do not believe that is correct...I have an Audi TT/BMW E46 HID retrofit with E46 Chromed plastic XENON Shrouds. The inner diameter of those shrouds is approximately 2.5" and they are used to fill in the gap of the stock SC projector housing when fitting this retrofit in. The stock glass lens is much bigger that the inner diameter of the Xenon shroud, so they have to be larger that 2.5".

I'm not sure what the point of just replacing the lens is? There are three factors to an HID retrofit- the bulb base to accept a correct OEM HID bulb, the proper distance of the bulb to the lense, the lense itself, and then the cutoff shield. The biggest PITA is taking apart and reassembling the headlights, so why wouldn't you just do a full retrofit rather than screwing around with just the lenses

Here's the thing- it's not just about the width of the lense it's about the focal length. These lenses are engineered to have the bulb sit a certain distance from the lense. It's not going to focus properly if the projector housing is not going to place the bulb in the correct spot specific to the design of the lense. This is why using the complete housing is recommended rather than just swapping the lense.

For instance on the page above you have 3 different 3" projectors all with different focal lengths:

STI: 3 inches, 27mm focus height
Mazda 3: 3 inches, 30mm focus height
ZKW/TL/e46: 3 inches, 22mm focus height

So you would need to match that to the SC projector lense
