Been pondering about something on my dad's car since we bought it actually. Build date on it is 2/94 and that comes up in toyota like that but it's a 95 model year with 95-96 everything. I can't figure out how that works. Even the title says it's a 95. Anyone else's car like this??

Idk. But here's the car next to my car. It is a full fledged 95 so it's got the updated cluster, pass. Air bag, the different lights, slightly different door panels etc etc

It's a 95' 6n1 paint code indicates M. Teal mist. Lexus Sc produced this color in 95' and discontinued the paint code. My Sc manufacture date 03/95.

The VIN code is all that matters the digit 'S' is for 1995 models. I have two, - '95 SC 400 built 4/94 and '95 SC 300 built 7/94. Because '95 MY was first minor changes, they went on sale early to try to pick up sales (kinda like the 18 month sales of '92s). The only legal rule for model year is that there can only be ONE Jan. 1st in a model year (you can sell '1995' from Jan 2. 1994 until December 31, 1995. One day less than two years, perfectly legal).
