Default weird connectors? whats this...

Hey,
i'm desperately trying to fix my climate control and AC and while troubleshooting i found attached connectors unplugged. I want to know what connectors are those and what for? (white, yellow/orange and gold/transparent conector)

there is also a variable resistor (green colored thing) which i believe it to tune frequency of AC at idle but how should it connect ? seems like both wires on its connectors are disconnected.

Most of that wiring doesn't look original. No telling what it's for.

the smaller one with the black and red wire should be connected that resistor that's flat with the small square part sticking out. the bigger one should be connected to this other plug that is next to/close to the fan motor.
