Default plastic undercarriage guard replacement

I changed the oil yesterday, and when I was under there, I saw that my plastic undercarriage guard was not in the best of shape. I have searched all over but can't find one...haven't called a dealership yet, but I was just wondering if anyone has ever replaced this or knows where to get one...

I looked all over parts.com, but didn't find anything. Thanks for the help!

The cover you are talking about should be this part # here:
51441-14140

List price on that is $167.41.

Let me know if you need more help with it.

Thanks for your help...Never thought to look under the cooling section. Found it for $136. I appreciate the reply!

Its pretty important in aiding the cooling system. The car will run hotter with it removed.

I just thought it was to aid in the underbody aerodynamics, and prevent leaves from underneath a parked car from catching on fire from the engine heat.

I had to take mine off because dudes from Valvoline instant oil change riped it apart to get to the oil filter. I change my own oil now ....

My Temp needle stays constant and at normal levels.

I replaced mine last summer because the old one was seriously FUBAR. I did notice that it ran a bit cooler, and the engine bay stays a lot cleaner. I bought mine from Spartan Auto Mall, got a good price- I just cant remember off the top of my head what it was. $136 sounds fair. The downside is it adds an extra step when changing the oil & filter. The burdens of owning a premium automobile!

Well, I am going to replace it soon. As far as the extra step goes, I think I have that figured out. My old one was busted in a nice square shape underneath the filter. So, as a temp fix, I just drilled two small holes in the plastic in either side of the split. Then I took a zip tie and tied the two pieces together. In the motorcycle world, we would temp fix fenders and other plastic pieces like this...called it sewing the plastic.

So, I am going to do a little work on the new one before I put it on. Cut out a sqare underneath the filter, and then hinge the one side and fasten the other (I'll figure out something for that so that I don't even have to waste .01 cent zip ties).

Hey, it's not like I have anything else to do my senior year of college

Also you can have one fabricated out of a nice stainless for car show purposes only.. I tried this for daily driving and on bad roads/highways(construction zones) the little rocks and etc will "ping" off it and drive you crazy but it looks super!!!

Hmmm, could this help aerodynamics as well, not so much air getting swirled around on the bottom? Mine was about half off one time and after an interstate run it was scraping on the ground so I just took the whole thing off. I'd like to get a new one but $136!!!!!

If it wasnt necessary, then Lexus wouldnt have put one on, although I just changed my oil today and i can appreciate the debate.

I took that off ages ago because it hung low and scraped the ground. No adverse effects from my experience.
