I'm in the process of redoing my interior as well. Question, that wood trim on the dash, does it come off with the center vents as one unit? Does it simply snap off of the dash or is it bolted in? And do I need to remove the radio and HVAC to get to it?

the center one just snaps in but my clips were nonexistent by the time i got the car. the center trim (at airbag) screws in, and so does the one for the vent.

eventually i want to get a one piece to replace the 3 pieces since when the airbag deploys that center section doesn't move.

update on plans: i've decided to go LS swap with a T56 since going that route saves a bit of weight (even if you use an iron block) and simplifies the drivetrain stuff once its in there.

i'll be keeping AC and I'm not sure anyone has done that yet so i'll document the lines I'll be making.

I have a 92 SC400 and the dash wood trim is one long piece, it doesn't have a passenger airbag.

I did but hadn't made the mold yet. a guy on the fb mod group is currently making a bunch of cf parts for our cars including a sunroof so i'm holding off on my project to see how that turns out.

i wanna get the car down to about 3100lbs. with the ironblock lsx in it.

its been awesome. after mounting the power unit to the right post and routing the lines off the floor its great. most guys mount the power unit to the wall which would be way easier than what i did.

definitely worth the investment for a small shop with limited floorspace. that said, if you have the space and height i'd go with a big one just because they are cheaper, faster, and nobody every complained about too much headroom.

due to recent revelations I've decided to sell the car. my wife wants me to get something that won't require so much time in the shop. if anybody wants first dibs i'm going to list it between average retail and high retail NADA due to its condition. so $7K takes it.

I'm in the houston area, its swap ready. PM me if you want more details or anything.

You sure it's your wife, not to sound like this but I think you may regret it.
