So the center vents are in pieces and since its a unicorn part I've decided to make my own center vent assembly using some universal circular vents. here's the direction I'm headed.

I'll be using the same allen head bolts I used for the grab handle deletes. Im kind of going for an aircraft/hotrod theme here.

I decided to repair my center vents instead of doing a new style. This is the second time I've ever used fiberglass for anything so I thought it would be fun to try.

First i glued the stock bezel back together.

Then I laid fiberglass resin with some material over the top and trimmed the excess to get everything fitted.

A pic I took during the fitting process with many edges needing to be cleaned up.

After cleaning it up I shot some primer for more sanding.

Then I painted it black and glued it to the vent housing.
I'll post a pic of it back in black and in the car tomorrow.

Okay here's a crappy shot of the finished product. I'm going to shoot another coat of flat black on it cause one spot is a little glossy but this should give you an idea of what can be done with some time, patience, and fiberglass

I enjoy watching your thread, especially the custom work you're doing. And a big shout out to your paint and body guy! Awesome work!

I got tired of the gutted precat so dropped some cash on a XERD header from MVP motorsports.

short story: WORTH IT.

Those new headers really make the car sound good. Are there any noticeable gains in power?

supposedly they give 17rwhp through an auto and it definitely gained a few. Today was like 80 degrees and it kinda felt like how it normally does on a nice cold day so im sure its gained some.
