Default sc400 dyno numbers

What are you guys getting? I know most dont dyno the 400.

I got 228hp, 235-240 tq.
rush headers to single blitz exhaust.
safc, w58
92 sc400 210k miles lol.

HY!

i had 230 RWHP and 322Nm, only mods BFI, IK20 plugs, EGR off and Pro-Speed Muffler, and only near 28tmiles on my 97 SC400. It runs to rich under full throttle (10:1) i think, with a SAFC or a piggypack it goeas a little bit more, i removed the 3rd converter,.... this year maybe a dyno with the W58 swap.

Here's my '99 vvt-i with BFI, PPE headers into Y-pipe and Tanabe mufflers, and LSD. These numbers are not at the wheels though..

These are not bad numbers for the ol' trusty 1UZFE.

I would take these numbers all day with 300K plus on the engine.

Those numbers with auto trannies correct? I wonder what the hp difference would be, not to mention weight savings.

Why are you getting 270 instead of 290 with those mods?

Stock vvt-i's dyno around 220-230hp iirc. There's a thread about it somwhere. I'd say a 50-60 hp increase with a simple BFI and exhaust is pretty damn good (although I know a lot of research work went into this exhaust to allow for the most hp possible).

As for trannies, mine is still the stock auto. Auto trannies normally give you about 30% hp loss through the drivetrain. Manuals are supposed to be only a 15% loss. I'm planning on a R154 swap (hopefully sometime this year) and a piggyback tune after that, hoping to increase those 270hp numbers a bit

But the 220-230hp figures are at the wheels right?
You said your dyno figures are not at the wheels, and the sheet says flywheel, so I'm wondering why, with those mods, isn't it higher than the stock 290hp which is what it's supposed to be making at the flywheel without modification? Or am I reading it wrong?

Now if it were making 270hp at the wheels with the mods you listed, that would make more sense to me since the headers alone should be making a good 20+whp?

I think Dougspeed needs to hit the Dyno! You have the lowest amount of miles for VVT-i.
