I would love to replace my non existent hood shocks with a normal style pull up "stick" somehow.
But it would have to be preety thick to hold up the heavy sc hood.

Wait so are you saying you currently have hood supports, but they don't function?

Or your car has entirely no hood supports.

While in the same subject, these shocks are very hard to push in to get them installed, any pointers macho man you guys are?

Lol my car has no hood shocks since they were blown and i tossed them.

Hmmmm - my hood supports failed last year during the very cold winter temps, seems like a common theme. My 2x2 interim support is not affected by extreme temps either way, but not too cool when having to check fluid levels when traveling at various fuel stops. Not cool.....a little too ratchet for a Lexus owner. Time to replace - all notes here have been very helpful
