is there a DIY for: Diff Sub frame Cushions/Mounts removal
so i got a couple more things done today. my other rack and pinion was pretty worn from age and it didnt help that one of the ears broke while installing the BV steering rack spacers. i managed to find a new unit from autozone for $220.00. its a unexpected expense but now i know the steering is ready for some spirited drifting. i got to work in the garage at 7am today and everything went smooth as butter. lemme say that a Harbor Freight press for $140.00 has made my work SO easy!

more pics. i also did a comparison of the stock vs BV inner tie rods. you get a few more millimeters just based on design and the back spacers give you 5mm of added angle as well.
ALL I CAN SAY IS WOWZERS!!!
There are still a few more items to be purchased but im waiting on production from BV to get the F&R upper arms. I'll have to decide on sway bars what to do with the front lower arms. More than likely; ill press in new bushings as i am doing with the rear lower arms. Pics:

wow. it's coming together nicely! the BV links and rods are just baller. I definitly want to do this when I have the funds, the stock stuff looks so....inefficient. you're on the right track. i'll check up on the progress, keep it up!
Thanks man. I agree the stock stuff is good only for junk. There's so much adjustability in this setup and I can't wait to get it dialed in and slide this car. I was gonna just get some tc sportline upper arms but I believe in quality so I'm waiting for Alex @ BV to bring em back out. I have the patience for benefit of a perfect suspension
hows your car coming along??

so i got some of the items installed just to see the look of everything. im thoroughly impressed with these parts
one of my next mods will be the diff. i opened it up today just to see if there were any metal shavings and the oil level. looks good other than the oil level. ill probably go with a Kazz 2 way unit.
you can see in the pics how even out the box these coilovers; once installed, will pull the wheels into the fender well.

Very nice! This would be a very nice track and drift setup. I don't think it'll be friendly for daily driving due to the vibrations and noise coming from the stiff chassis and suspension. Lol. I'm doing the same thing for my car, but I'm using both Prothane bushings and liquid filled urethane to make my own bushings.

i've actually looked at the Energy Suspensions bushing kit but the only use ill have for it is for the rear lower arms. the other bushings wont apply since they are meant for OEM arms which i wont be using. i would love to have the Eau Rouge lower arms or possibly Ikeya Formula units but their prices are outrageous!
here is how the sub frame sits as of now. im waiting on Alex from BV to release the upper arms again before i bolt it back up:

looks awesome! some high-temp/engine paint would be sweet on the diff. it's kinda sticking out with everything else lookin so baller and would keep the heat in check. just a thought if you havnt torqed it in yet. I bet you're like "wtf man! I just put it all together!" I'm following your build like a hawk
do you plan on takin it out to a FMS(Fabricated motorsport) event when done? I'd love to meet up one day or see you out there.
one more thing. in your pics with the PBM's installed your entire wheel hubs are in a UP position as if there was a jack under the LCA's but theres no jacks. (hope this makes sence) how are you doing that? the sway links?

I haven heard of that shop. Where is it? I'm definitely down to meet once this girl is on the streets!
yea some high temp black on the diff would just tie everything together, keep heat down and protect from the elements. can't wait to see more progress.
it's more like a community for the drifters primarily here in Tx. #1 imo. i'll PM ya some more info.

Nice. Ill look out for that pm. I'm more than likely gonna do it tomorrow since I'll be in the garage most of the morning
addressing the question about the hubs, when I installed the pbms out the box, they pulled the hubs up to that point. Even if I disconnect the sway bar links, it stays there. I'm gonna post a pic of what stock wheels look like with them in that aggressive setting. You can't even turn the wheels!!!
