Default Recommendation Re Common Problems

I am not computer savvy enuf nor could setup a thread site but am wondering if it would be helpful to have a place to register your final solution to the engine performance problems which sound like a broken record... erratic idle, stalls, won't start, no power, sloppy shifting, on and on.

Would it be worthwhile to have members who finally solved their issues with poor performance have a place to register their final solution where the data could be compiled in a such a way that you would have a probability list that this is most likely the base problem.

For example the list where you could register your final solution might include:

1) Main ecu board

2) MAF sensor

3) Coils

4) TPS sensor

5) O2 sensors

6) Plugs/wires

7) Vacuum leaks

8) Harness issues

9) Fuel pump/ecu....

10) IAT...

on and on.

The compiled data would show which specific issue shows up the most and give a heads up where to look first.

Most of these items that you are referring to, can be found in the DIY SC300/400 section. If not there are many threads under these known topics. I don't see any reason why to put it all under one section, while if everyone used the searched button correctly, the answer can be found pretty easily.

Let me clarify:

A person has a performance problem ,say SC400. If there was an open thread that listed the most
common performance probs for this car. For example...ECU 50%, MAF 20% , Coils 10%,... it would
be useful even after a person did all the searching with no conclusive answer. It would allow him
to make a more practical guess as to where to start first in order to solve the problem.

You see countless posts where the person says I changed the MAF, the plugs, the IAT, the 02
sensors and so on to no avail until finally after much trial and error he solves his problem.

At least probability wise a most likely list would give a person a beter chance of getting to
the solution early. Then after he solves his problem, he would go to the "Common Problems
for SC400 " on-going thread and register his solution as a single identifier say, MAF for
example, and this would be added to the poll so to speak.

When opened, the on-going thread would be nothing more than a table listing most common
problems for SC400 in decreasing order. No other details would be included. The table would
be designed to enable the member to enter his "vote" so to speak after he solves his specific problem.

.
