Default Supra sway bar mount, impractical cost

OLD posts from years ago lists you can buy the supra subframe mounts to mount the rear sway bar and the cost is around $55-65 x 2. Today's price, after tsunami and toyota price hike etc, I didn't find these mounts for less than $93 per side.

Does anyone have a better source for price?
It doesn't seem to be practical to be adding around $200 on top of sway bar cost.

Is Daizen still in business because I heard their bars are made directly for the SC300

Daizen is no longer in business. If you want SC300 specific sways go with whiteline sways.

I think I paid about $93 per side for new MKIV mounts and I haven't looked back. The prices have been like that for at least 3-4 years. I picked up a used 93-96 22mm TT rear sway bar for $45 and paid a tiny bit more for new bolts, factory U-mounts and corresponding rubber. I feel it's been completely worth it from a handling standpoint but it depends on what you want to do with your car. I was going to suggest Daizen but then I read the above post. Yes, 2nd best would be Whiteline.

Still, I think it's far better to anchor the swaybar to the rear subframe rather than at the trunk if you want to focus on the best handling potential over comfort. Whether $200 for the mounts alone is worth it depends on how you ultimately intend to use your car.

The SC300 isn't a Honda Accord. It comes with good sway bars from the factory. Unless you specifically need thicker bars getting them would be a waste. As I said before a 92 SC300 has the same size front sway bar as a Supra. Furthermore most aftermarket sway bars aren't even thicker than the stockies.

so if the aftermarket are the same size, are they made out of a different material with increased modulus of rigidity or to decrease the deformation?
Or would the increase in rigidity come from mounting the sway bar to the subframe not the trunk?
