Default Rims and Spoiler

This is a two part question. First off, I am thinking about getting these rims for my 1996 SC300, and am wondering most importantly if they will fit without any kind of rubbing. They are 18x9. Also just wondering how people think they will look on the car.

Second, my car has no spoiler, and I am thinking about getting either of the two spoilers at this website:

http://www.spoilerdepot.com/Catalog....dModel=38&idB=

any comments or suggestions?

Hey dpakman91,

Man, those wheels look sweeeeet. I have seen them before, somewhere, but that pic does it justice. What is the name/manufacturer of that wheel.

As for spoilers, I would go with the 97+, I am looking into getting one myself for my 92 SC4.

Thanks
Biz

They'll fit, but they look too much like SUV wheels to me...

as far as getting my car painted, how much should i really have to pay to get it painted black (it is already black now)? I have gotten quotes hovering around $2000 and up.

also, although everyoen says the rims will fit, will they rub at all when turning the wheel?

Default spoiler

Those wheels are on ebay all the time. Ithink they look pretty nice.

As far as the spoiler goes, spoilerdepot also lists those on ebay all the time for $125. Do not pay more than that. I was going to bid on one, but instead of getting caught up in a bidding war and paying more, I call them direct and they gave it to me for $125 (while some other sucker bid to like $160 :>)

I bought the 97-00 model spoiler and am happy with it. The only thing was some very slight pitting at the seam area on the back in a 1" section. Very minor and easily fixed. Still well worth the 125

Hope this helps

Tim

thoise wheels will fit. (i have 18x9 and 18x10 on my SC). As for the spoiler, I would get the 92 OEM style.

Has anyone installed a spoiler on their car before? Don't you have to drill into the trunk? Wouldn't you need to prime the cut-out area to rust-proof it?

I like the wing spoiler, and would consider. But I'm not sure I want to drill holes into my trunk by myself.

How much would a repair shop charge for this?

Wheels are nice, what's the brand and manufacturer... as for the spoilers, i hear spoiler depot makes descent stuff, fits fairly well... there's an entire post on this, do a search. Some guy has done it already and that's what he said with the 92OEM spoiler.

I agree. Those rims are nice. Please let us know the manufacturer and SKU number. I wouldn't mind checking out a set.

Wheels aren't my top priority right now ... new CD changer and a nice nice wing spoiler will make everything kosher.

Wheels are down the line.

That is dirt cheap. If it is a reputable shop then go for it. I get quoted between $4k-7k to paint the same color here and $11k-14k for a color change.

$2000-3000 is typical of a good paint job.
