Default I know we are in recession but really?

no craigslist links read rules

Found this little gem in my neighbor whilst looking for a spare engine.

*edited in craigslist ad*
"2JZ GE Europe Spec engine, no transmisson - $5250 (waldo)
$5,500 0bo. 2JZ GE European spec engine, as far as I know its the same engine and will fit in american cars, its just made in European specifications, laws and standards instead of American. Engine has about 100,000 miles on it and like I said no transmisson. The 2JZ-GE is a 3.0L I-6, like the 1JZ's they're a 4-valve DOHC inline-6. The 2JZ-GTE is the twin-turbo'd version of the 2JZ-(GE).2JZ-GE's are found in: * Toyota Altezza / Lexus IS 300 * Toyota Aristo / Lexus GS 300 * Toyota Crown * Toyota Mark II * Toyota Progres * Toyota Soarer / Lexus SC 300 * Toyota Supra MK IV.

Every thing on the engine is sound and runs good, nothing wrong with it, I'd just rather it collect money instead of dust. I recentley started upgrading on the my RSX Type S and still want to get my '92 5.0 finished. So I have more than enough to keep me busy as of right now. Hate to see it go but just makes sense to sell it right now. I've been busy with work so sorry for not having pictures up as of just yet, I will post then when I can. Just figured to get the ball rolling on getting it sold. Please feel free to email with and questions you may have and I will respond. Thank you for your time and looking"

Indeed there was a difference between the 2JZ-GTE North America & European series and the JDM series but we a re talking about a 2jz-ge that is generally the same across the board and even if he had something special its not $5000 special

Lol. People are trying to get over left and right.

Btw we're in no ressesion. Look at how many people daily Lamborghinies and go to a footlocker on a Saturday morning. It's always filled with all races hungry for sneakers. Yea. What ressesion?

Looks like he found the list price for a new 2JZ-GE from Toyota and set his own price accordingly. Gee, I think I'll park my car, rent a cherry picker and sell the entire engine and transmission for $10,000 in a single weekend and fast-track my 1JZ swap pronto.

Why didn't we all think of this sooner?? We've got $5500 engines with over 100k miles our cars and all we have to do is find other SC owners who want to buy... hang on... if we all have the same "Euro-spec" engines and they're all worth $5500... then...

......awwwwwwwww.
