Default 2jzgte swap sc with single turbo and stock ecu mpg!!

I just finished my car and it's been running great so far after 1000+ miles but MPG suck i am sure it's because of the stock ecu was tune for safety..

I am not complaining about the mpg but , just checking to see if everyone is getting about the same mpg

I get 110-125 miles on half tank, driving on hwy r154, with 3.26 rear and 18" wheels this is E85 territory

tia for your input.

That is about right on E85. When I used to have a stock Supra TT , I get between 16 to 22 on 93. Since you use 30-40 more volume on E85... getting 11-12 miles per gallon, I believe is about right.... I get 6 to 8 on my stroker 6 speed (PT-7685 / ProEFI ) and around 8-9 on the 3.0 6 speed (PT-6766 / Haltech ).. all on E85 .

That is why I wonder how they do it , when I hear people say they are making more than 28 miles per gallon on a stock 2jzgte on 93. I had at least 8 cars with 2jzgte that I previously owned and never got above 23 miles even at stock configuration.

hes talking about his pump gas car, mine is also not very good I am na-t using the same ecu.
I'm going to turn up my boost and take advantage of the extra fuel.. lol.
With the 3.26 you should be doing alot better on the highway If you can keep from boosting.

Pump gas, 8.5.1 Compression, Stock ECU , stock cams, stock 3.0 block.

This is on 93 octane, i am not talking about E85.

I don't know what they do on the stock ECU on 93 that's why i am asking. This my first on Stock ECU.

my bad... on pump gas.. you should be on the range of 16 - 22 miles per gallon . That was always my experience.

I thought your mileage would be close to stock if you didn't push it too much? Maybe it's the stock ecu.

Let me add something though , the 18-19 miles average I get were on a USDM ecu with MAF / EGR , stock twins / exhaust. .. I understand that you have the JDM ecu and no MAF / EGR . Do you still have the stock twins ?

Ali it's really weird man! that's the plan ..turning it up.
I drive on the why everyday and it's really not that great, i used to get 25-27 on the why on aem on 93 octane which is not an apple to apple comparaison.

I just read on Sf and people don't really get great MPG with these setups on stock ecu.

My mpg actually improved going to the aristo ecu from the aem tune I had. you must have had some kind of serious tune on yours if your mpg was that good. I don't think I have seen 300 to tank since I went turbo.

Maybe your are doing more miles than its reading cause of your large tires?
the cluster just counts full revolutions, so if you have much larger tires the cluster will read less than you actually go. Try mapping out your commute on google maps, see how many miles, and then zero out your odometer and see how far off it is, just a thought.

Thanks Ali!

My first setup on aem was great on 93, I used to drive a whole lot .cruising around it used to be high 15-16.02 cruising.

My 1jzgte sucked on the stock ecu and i was on the stock 4.27 rear end.

Funny thing is i just put new tires on it 315/30r18 Toyo R888, i am going to do what recommended above to see how it goes!
