The list would suggest buying a new car.

Is it the oil pressure or low oil light? The low oil level light seems to be a regular problem and I have this as well but if you price out the sensor it's like over $500. I'm probably just going to ground out the sensor wire so the light never comes on.

I think its the low level. That sounds like a bad idea. I would be interested in when my car is actually low on oil. But 500 is a little rediculous.

I heard you could take it out and clean it and sometimes that will work, I'll have to look into it to see if it's worth it. Low oil lights are more of dummy lights in my opinion for those that neglect their cars. Many vehicles don't have actual low oil sensors, only oil pressure lights. I check my oil on a very regular basis so I don't need a light to tell me if it's low. If I lose oil at that rate I'm sure my oil pan will be empty and my low oil pressure light will come on along with a loud racket from my engine due to lack of oiling. I'm getting all my oil leaks buttoned up in the next couple of weeks and even with the ones I have now I'm losing very minimal oil.
