Default VIP Style WoodGrain Floormats----What do you guys think?

Hey guys ,

im actually going to pull the trigger and start making a set of these tomorow,I have lots of ideas on how to really make these very nice, , but I was just throwing it out there to hear opinions, ideas and criticism.

I am considering doing a whole woodgrain upgrade to my interior including the woodgrain gated shifter, rx woodgrain wheel and woodgrain/hardwood floor and trunk mats.

Heres the link, let me know what you guys think

Looks interesting? You might be able to pull it off? I would be worried about my feet sliding...but hey, like I said keep us posted! I do like the other items mentioned, especially the RX woodgrain steering wheel! lol

I like the mats in of themselves and would really like a wood floor in the trunk and in lieu of the interior door panels. Good luck man. Looking forward to when you post up pics of your finished product.

It's an interesting look. I think it would look cooler in something like an LS or S Class Benz though. Since you're going for a VIP build give it a shot and post some pics up.

and yea kira i agree it would be perfect for an LS or other luxury sedan but ill give it a try ,,worst case scenario it doesnt work and i just remove them, fact is I need to do something because 2 of my 4 tan mats are ruined.

im on my way out now to buy the materials,,,,not sure how long its going to take me to complete.

I think that center piece that goes over the transmission tunnel looks great, the wood floor mats are interesting... Prob be a pain always cleaning if its your dd. good luck and focus on details, trim, reinforced bracket...

Probably only useful for carshows/demos. Other than that, it would be dangerous to drive in.

You want some safe VIP mats? Do it real big like Rolls Royce and get you some sheepskin floor mats.

Looks pretty cool, I'd just be worried about the lack of grip with the woodgrain

Looks pretty gangster in a fullvip ride, but most likely for show use only haha. Daily use might be dangerous

ok I got the outline cut out ,,and cut it in two pieces to allow for fitting,,,,,and I have to admit it looks quite tacky once installed in the car ,,,but that might be due to the color not being done yet and the border and all the finishing touches not complete,,,,

not sure if i feel like going any further with this tbh, kind of turned off with the first mock up.

if I continue ill be adding a chrome trim, a decorative hinge set up and I was plannning on imbedding a Lexus symbol somewhere either on the top kick plate area or right in the middle , and finishing them in a similar color as my current woodgrain,,,,,also I was thinking of doing some kind of border, maybe in carpet or polished metal for some contrast,,,idk I have alot of ideas but im going to call it quits for today and see how i feel about it tomorow, if i want to continue or not.
