SC's with front window tints
 

i have a pretty dark front window tint (not sure of the percentage), how many of you have ever gotten pulled over for it?

i know i havent ever, but i've heard some funny stories in my time about window tints and cops.

Laws are different state to state, but i've been written up a few times for it, used to cruise around in a buddy's wagon, he had two layers of 5%, from the outside it looked like the windows had just been painted over :)

I've been pulled over once and my friend, who has a triple black mustang, has gotten pulled over many times. In NYC, you can usually have the tickets thrown out unless the cops use one of those light absorbancy testers that hook over the window. They used it twice on my friend's car... But its just an equipment violation. So roll with the windows down and heater up! LOL

I've never been pulled over and I have 50% smoked metallic tint on my front windows and limo on the back. I've been pulled over six times with that tint by CHP troopers, sherriff deputies, and local officers and none of them ever mentioned anything about it (no I wasn't ticketed six times ;)). When my next pay check comes, I'm probably going to strip the front tint and get 20-30% put on and probably 75% on the front windshield just to blend better with the limo tint.

Talk about tint, I think my 96 sc4 came with factory tint, and it is getting blur now, any possiblity of stripping it, and put new tint in... and for this subject, i had light tint in the front window with my other car, but never been pull over for that so far.

I have 13% all around, I just got pulled over for it last month :( cop was just a **** looking for a citation, I had my windows rolled down at the time after looking everywhere for a violation he asked me to roll my windows up

I have 13% all around on all my cars have had it on for over a year and this is the first incident I have... then again when i know when cops are trolling for silly citations :) I roll my windows down like *cough* Irvine *cough*

i just got 22% put on all the way around...fingers crossed..no cops yet :)
