Default Thinking of spray painting the inside of my headlights

Whats going on CL. So ive been looking around for answers and doing my research but the thing is i keep seeing different things. The question ive been asking myself is, if i spray paint the chrome part of our headlights to flat black, would that mess up the actual projection of my lights. I'm going to be baking my OEM headlights and swapping those lens with some Ebay lens that i have so i can get rid of all those lines the OE lens have. I already have the ebay headlights separated and i just recieved my OEM headlights i ordered. I'll be posting pics of my progress

For now i only have a few pics

I am not a big fan of it, but to each their own. I personally like the clean chrome look under the original OEM lights. Not saying you wont like it either, but it is your car and it what you like, not what we think... LOL

It will not affect the overall lighting output whatsoever. What happened to your factory lights?

Why don't you like the factory lens with the lines?

Not to hijack, But ive thought about a similar idea. Painting the housing an OEM color, Very similar to the C6 Corvettes. Of course, Some OEM colors for us wouldnt work very well. However Silver,Red,Blue,White dosnt seem like a bad idea. Anyone ever tried this and not just blacking them out?

Well i bought my SC and the previous owner had those Ebay lights on there and i definitely did not want them on my car so i thought i would try swapping out the lens.

I got a good deal on ebay for the OE lenses and i picked them up for 70 each side.

I don't really like all those lines i really don't know why but also i think it's cuz all the newer cars have a smooth clear surface and it just gives it a "newer" look. I just finished taking apart the OEM headlights, ill post pics as soon as i can. I was looking at it and i think ima stick to the chrome look, after all the SC is flat black so i think it would be too much black.
