I got rid of (almost) all my stuff too when I went with an aftermarket steering wheel:

1. The SRS ECU is behind/underneath the radio area in the center dash. Unplug, unbolt, remove.
2. There are two airbag harnesses from the center dash area heading in two different directions:
2a. One harness goes into the steering column, tucked up under the dash, you'll have to remove the steering column suround and jam your head underneath the dash to see it/remove it. Have fun, it's a pain in the ***. But it's easy to locate - harness has yellow wire loom and yellow double-lock safety connectors.
2b. The other one goes to the passenger side airbag - easy to remove if you pull the glove box first, much easier if you remove the passenger airbag assembly and center air vent. Harness looks the same as the driver's side - yellow loom, etc.
3. Obviously if you have a new steering wheel you've removed the driver's side airbag and the clockspring assembly underneath it.
4. Passenger-side airbag is riveted to the dash part that you see on top. You can either take caution and carefully grind away the rivets to remove the airbag completely, or you can just leave it there. The problem if you remove the airbag is that the cage surrounding the airbag is also the part that holds the dash cover in place; I just left the airbag there and bolted it back in, you choose what you want to do.
5. Airbag wiring harness on passenger side front fenderwell, from the rear (dash side) to the front (headlamp side). All bolt-off, just look for a harness with yellow wire loom and yellow double-lock safety connectors, just like in the dash. The SRS sensor is also there on the right side chassis, behind the headlamp when looking through the wheel well area. You'll have to remove the right-front wheel to get all of this crap out.

THANK YOU RAINE! Basically all I wanted to hear was if I remove it my ecu won't disable my car for not having air bags or something stupid like that... everything from my dash to my whole front clip is off so I figure I'll do it now to reduce clutter as I'm sure I will have the car apart many more times in it's life.

There will be no next owner I cannot find a point in selling a 20 yr old car that has very poor resale value that you have thousands tied up in in my opinion.. other than space and in that case I don't live in an apartment so I can have multiple cars

No dude! I really appreciate the input and the belts you showed me. I know the guy that does my safety inspections so I'm sure he would have over looked it thinking he's doing me a favor I just had so much "chatter" on the thread already I didn't want the mods to close it, I totally see how you could injure your spine and really want to change my set up now after some more research since my son will be riding in this car some day. As for the SRS everything tied into the system is wrapped in yellow loom
