IS250 Airbag Cover - Looks good! GS400 vs IS250 Steering Wheel - Help me choose!
Hey guys! I need some help deciding on which steering wheel is going to go in my SC400.
IS250 Steering Wheel
I ordered the airbag cover from Ebay off a Chinese seller. Saved a ton of money versus buying an airbag. Also the IS250 steering wheel airbag is not compatible with the SC400 anyways because it's dual stage.
Pros:
Cons:
I picked up this GS400 steering wheel at a junkyard with the airbag.
Pros:
Cons:
To airbag or not to airbag... that is the question.
Also does anyone know if the IS250 wheel's cruise control will work with the SC400?

Pros:
- Has paddle shifters. (I bought a suprastick to control the autobox)
- Has radio controls (I bought the adapter already to use them with my radio)
- Looks more recent
Cons:
- No airbag. Airbag is dual stage. My stock airbag is single stage. I heard some people wired the dual stage airbag to their cars but these seems dangerous IMO. I think I'd rather just have no airbag at all versus some rigged airbag system.
I picked up this GS400 steering wheel at a junkyard with the airbag.
Pros:
- Airbag
- Still has Button Shifters to shift the autobox with the Suprastick
Cons:
- Looks a bit more dated. But Still a good looking wheel.
- Shifter buttons not as cool as paddle shifters.
- Doesn't have radio controls and I already bought the adapter.

The IS250 wheel definitely wins my choice! If you could get the buttons + paddle shifter to work, it'll give a much more sporty feel. Plus, being able to adjust your head unit without reaching over is a nice feel

Thanks for the advice guys. My installer's going to install the GS400 steering wheel for now because it's quick to put on. I'll see how I like it.
I'll put on the IS250 steering wheel next summer (my car will be stored for the winter).
The IS wheel will need the audio wiring done and somehow glue the airbag cover since it doesn't sit properly without anything behind it. I also don't know how the horn is going to work with it, maybe I'll wire the horn on a button.
Thanks guys. I'll take pictures of both with the interior. The interior will be painted a mix of gray and black over the winter. It will be two tone. The black steering wheel will match better once there are more black parts.
