nardi steering wheel with NRG hub and adapter - horn issue
Hey Guys,
i am just in the middle of installing my NRG hub and adapter and a Nardi deep corn 350mm wheel. I have a problem with the horn though, the NRG hub is too wide and the horn is too deep so that when i push the horn past the adapter, it pops loosely into the hole of the NRG hub and rattles around. Taking it out is also a pita as it effectively locks behind the adapter so i had to unbolt the steering wheel and pull on it real hard. see pic below for hopefully a good explanation:
anyone got this combo to work or use a different horn successfully?
otherwise i got the wheel installed, had to remove the clockspring and make a custom horn power signal spring clip (ground is through the steering column)
thanks!

for tech info: stock wheel and airbag weighed in at 9.7 lbs, airbag ecu another 5 or so.

thanks for the response, my problem isnt getting the horn to work, it is the fitment of the horn button. it doesnt sit snugly in the hole and it actually is almost impossible to remove once it snaps behind the NRG > Nardi adapter spacer. are there any horns that fit the NRG hub + spacer properly?

i think i found what i need..
a sleeve that goes below the horn so that the retaining clip can grip it and not be loose.

can anyone confirm?

Are you running a quick release on the hub? or just wheel on hub? If I understand what you're saying your horn button is falling thru the center of your wheel. Your bezel on the horn button should prevent that from happening. For the record, my nardi on my s13 and the one I installed on my friends mk2 supra never had an issue w/ falling through.

im running the nrg hub with a nrg > nardi adapter plate. no qr. the nardi wheel is on the adapter plate. the horn bezel prevents it from falling through alright, but the horn is loose, it goes tight onto the adapter plate, but once it's spring pops beyond that into the hub it doesn't hold on anymore and simply rattles around. it is also extremely difficult to take off at that point since the adapter diameter is smaller than the nardi hub diameter so it acts as a lock ring.
