I jus bought new smoked tail lights. My question is do I have to remove the rear bumper to put them on?

 

No sir, you do not. On the SC simply remove the trunk liner and unbolt. Really simple process, although it may require just a tad bit of finesse sliding them back in. Pretty sure it is a similar process on the GS, but you may want to check with those guys for the specific procedure - especially with the lights in the trunk lid.
