NYC best place to weld the differential
Was wondering whats a good place to weld the differential at in NYC area, I live in brooklyn.
Would preffer someone that has done it on these cars before..
Also how does welded diff behave on the highway? If anyone has experiance with this i'd like to hear some opinions..
I used to have torsen swap from the at supra, took it out, put stock diff in and now looking to weld it.

You will hate it!
Why on earth would you take out a true LSD to weld the spider gears?
Welding the diff is soooo hard on axles, bushings drive shaft etc as it will bind any time you turn the wheel more than 90 degrees.
I had one in my rx-7 many years ago and it sucked! Good for doing burn outs or drifting but you will kill every bushing in the differential/sub frame etc.

Well i want it for drifting, torsen didnt lock up good enough, wanted to try welded before i'll start looking for a TRD lsd swap. Not realy sure i just feel if i hate it i can buy used pumpkin for cheap, is it really that bad? I drive to work everyday about 10-15 min away 1 way. I also often drive to PA, so wondering if it will blow up on me on the highway lol

If your bushings are upgraded then maybe it would work but if you are on soft stock rubber bushings then forget it!
If done properly it won't blow ever but remember it puts major strain on every thing else. I would highly advise against it plus it's not safe in the rain.
