Default How do you release seatbelt tension?

Guys,

Replacing a worn drivers seatbelt because it has frayed a lot. I bought a used one and need to install it, but it's pulled in too tight for me to be able to bolt it in. Is there somewhere on it I can release tension to get some slack to install it?

Thanks,

As per our resident guru Gazi, if you put the seatbelt in the position it bolts up to, it will release the ball bearing and allow the seatbelt to pull out. This is a safety feature for if the car flips.

Thanks Gazi for explaining this
