Default Farewell ***** shift ****

Finally replaced that big *** brown shifter. I just wanted to know, is it just me that hates the stock shifter? I know a lot of people switched over to the gated shifter, but not too many have changed the shifter on the ***** shifter. Am I just being homophobic? Anyways, I'm not feeling the chrome on my new one, but pickings were very slim. If anyone has found a non-chrome one, please post pics with brand. Oh well, next step...5 speed.

i actually enjoy the stock shifter, i have long arms so it is a good place to rest my hand/wrist while my elbow is on the center console. my only issue is that mine is brown and i would prefer black.....no homo

More details on the kind of ****, where you bought it and so on. Does the overdrive button still work like stock?

I used a Levoc automatic shifter, but I had to take it apart and remove the bottom trim piece in order for it to fit. The shifter also needs to be modded so that the spring still works so that you can put it into drive and be able to take out the key when you put it into park. I haven't rewired the overdrive button yet, but i was going to put it on a switch on the bezel. For such a small mod, it was quite a pain.

Wow that looks good, did it take you a long time to switch the shifters?

Yeah, it took a while to do just because I kept giving up and leaving it for another day. Once I wasn't afraid of taking it apart it wasn't too bad.

I'll be the a-hole. That is completely hideous/tacky and does not go with the car one bit. Sad part is this is coming from a guy who painted a car like a watermelon

I also hate my stock shift **** (97) it feels cheap and shakes at high speeds. Would like to replace it with the 98+, but is it easy to do? Does it just plug right in?

I have no problem since I have black interior. Although I would prefer the gated shifter, manual is better
