Yeah, the SC was pretty outdated compared to the 2GS. The 2GS had stuff like navigation and factory HID's if I'm not mistaken.

It's mostly interior and exterior stuff that is the most noticeable difference between older SC's and newer ones.

I've heard the 99-00 models had stuff like:

-Better headlights
-Better radio sound quality with a smaller disk changer
-Supposedly they ride better, but I can't say for sure
-Perforated seats with better leather
-Different paint options than older SC's

And a bunch of other small stuff. I've driven a 99 SC400 and a few pre-95 SC's and the differences were very noticeable to me. There is also VVT-i on the 98+ SC's as well.

The 92 I'm looking at has tan leather interior. I found a guy selling a complete (minus airbag) BLACK leather interior out of a 95 for 650. Will it fit?
It's black so black on black would look very nice IMO

I know the difference between tr years , there's also cluster etc. overall the sc feels outdated compard to 2gs , the way it drives and the the way it's build I feel like its the poorest build quality rwd Lexus model. Way too many things fall apart interior wise like cluster , climate control , door panels , vents...etc even 1 Gs is a more solid build car .

Yeah, you're right. I just feel that the 98 SCs aren't too far from the 2GSes

If you want to drop your car a lot and still drive it daily, the pre-97 cars can go lower without scraping. There's no "body kit"

Ive owned a 92 and a 93 sc300, the 92 didnt come with auto headlights and pass airbag

I noticed the earlier models like 92 93 94 have different brake systems as far as master and abs goes maybe someone can shed some light on that

Yeah. The 2 95s I drove had AMAZING brakes.
Is there an upgrade for them to a newer gen?
