Post ((I'm new and here is my 97 Lexus SC400 ))

Hey whats up guys, my name is Mihalis, I'm from G. Blanc Michigan, and I just recentley purchased a 1997 SC400, I love pretty much everything about this car, its my first SC and so far it's the best vehicle I've ever owned, I never really was into machanic skills and all that but now i want to get some valuable information, and this site compare to other ones seems to be the Top one. I've been checkin out the different posts and threads and oh man, Theres alot of info. I'd like to get some work done to this car, lower a lil bit more the suspension, get a bumper kit maybe some halo lights and rims. Here are some pics of the car, Thanks and have a cool day everyone, Happy 4/20.

That's so clean! Too bad it's a '97... Not that it's bad, but '98+ has VVTi which is more powerful and better fuel consumption... Good luck with it and take care of it!

Don't feel bad about having a Non-vvt I have a 1997 That is just like yours black and all. Good thing about 1997 is it was the last year they did NON-VVT 1uzfe, if your timing belt breaks your engine will be ok. If it had VVT it would be dead.

Thanks for the info about the timing belt, very important to know that.

Nice looking SC there... Don't worry about the exact specs for now, just enjoy all there is to owning an SC. Take care of the maintenance (I recommend getting her checked out by a mechanic or even the dealership if they have an SC specialist there) just so you know what needs to be done. What I've found about these cars is that if you stay on top of the needed things they'll last almost forever.

What a fine example you picked for your first one! And don't feel bad if it takes you a few to find the perfect one, or if you decide this one is it! There's a dude floating around who's on his 7th one, I believe.

Now that's love.
